having eaten here recently I can only endorse other comments
My starter of Onion Bahji was lackluster, main course of steak burnt on outside, Sea Bream wasn’t de-​boned, desert was good to look at but tasted of nothing and when we asked for filter coffee with Tia maria shot we got Floater coffee and to finish they added another tables bill
Whilst appologetic this is not the standard you would expect given the size of the bill, £70 for 2 with house wine (only 1 and starter and desert)

I have been here three times and have come away each time feeling slightly lacking and I can’t put my finger on it. It is beautifully decorated with a fantastic conservatory at the back overlooking a stream and beautiful gardens. The food is lovely but I think it is the atmosphere that is lacking for me. The menu is good; the food is not amazing but enjoyable nevertheless. The food is quite expensive and it is probably the lack of professionalism in the waiting staff that ruins the atmosphere somehow. I don’t mind paying for what I get and I am more than happy to do so if I consider I have had a very good meal and service. I would consider this a good pub with grub rather than the fine dining restaurant that the prices suggest.
