I have stayed here many times. The rooms are comfortable but a bit small. Once you get outside of the foyer the hotel is a bit dated but its clean and pleasant enough. The staff are on the ball and always very nice.
I have not had dinner in the hotel but the breakfast was very acceptable.
Overall, I suspect its better in the summer than the winter as you can sit in the garden.
I have stayed at this hotel many times so I can vouch for it. I guess its predominately a business hotel and not really one for a weekend away.
If you do not fancy the restaurant there is a nice pub over the road. Better selection of beers. lol

This hotel is lovely, it has a lovely feeling when you walk in. Apparently it’s haunted but I never experienced anything like that on the numerous times I’ve stayed. The restaurant is fab, serving traditional english food, you have to try the deserts as they are amazing. During the week it does seem to be full of business men on mobile phones tho!
