A Starbucks with a view of old town Salisbury. Not bad! A few tables outdoors to watch the tourists or gaze at the candy booth at the weekend market.

Poor service, took over 15 minutes for a to go drink. People in front of us asked for their money back, they couldn’t wait any longer. Tables were full of dirty cups and plates. This close to Christmas I’m amazed they didn’t have more staff on.

I have had coffee and something to eat for a few times now at this Starbucks. The products including the coffee is good. Only wished the hygiene was a little bit better. Tables not always clean but I think that’s a fundamental flaw in a lot of British establishments these days. Location is very good right in the middle of town. It’s also very roomy.

Seats around 28 downstairs, layout is good and staff are friendly. Only 1 set of comfy seats though. Good range of sandwiches and cakes. Children-friendly with several high chairs available for very young customers.

Starbucks apparently do not support our troops in any theatre of war and have outwardly said they would not serve service personel. A place to avoid if you support our troops.

When we visited Salisbury we stopped for a coffee here. It was on a Sunday morning and it was quite warm so we sat outside. This has a very continental feel about it, sitting sipping coffee reading the newspaper in a beautful sqaure. The coffee they serve is great, even though it can be a bit pricy you get what you pay for. I love the Americano, where as my partner likes the creamier coffee. I would have tucked into one of the yummy cakes they sell, but we were just about to have lunch somewhere else. The staff are friendly and efficient, no tables left with dirty cups etc. So if you are shopping in Salisbury take a break and stop for one of their coffees.
