Picked based on the recommendation in the Lonely Planet England guide. The food was good. For lunch I had the goat cheese tart, with salad and new potatoes which was tasty with noticeable fresh flavors. I got the sense that the kitchen has a commitment to quality ingredients which was good to see. However, the portion was small and a bit expensive at a tenner(6 – 8 pounds would have been more reasonable). In addition, the service was so so and the staff cold and impersonal. Overall, a nice lunch, but bit expensive at 15 pounds with a glass of wine and coffee(including tip). Nothing to rave about and I’m not sure I would rush back to the Lemon Tree if I was in Salisbury again.

I’ve had better. Poor service, over 2.5 hours for a meal(we waited 90mins for bread!), very poor quality food, argumentative staff. Simply won’t even consider it again.
