Left it until after the contract had been signed on our property to let us know that there was no car parking space included. The car parking (in our post code which costs us £200+ per month) was outlined in the property info and confirmed by Rhea, and Blair, both via email. Very poor conduct, accepts no responsibility for their issue, left us out of pocket. Currently seeking reimbursement for their error. Agents in the Salford branch were rude, and smoking e-​cigarettes at their desks. Very unprofessional.

For an estate agent who look and try to act the very much high end snazzy young free and lots of cash types they don’t half let you down. We signed up with them having been really really impressed with their properties And the sales staff. Once the money was handed over so were we to the management staff who are shockingly poor. They don’t respond to anything, slag off other customers in front of you and take months to sort things. They helped turn my first few months moving to Manchester a nightmare and they don’t care. They go through staff so often no one knows you. I can’t wait to move agents. The only reason I gave them any stars is that they happen to have some excellent properties in great locations, just a pity they can’t look after them or their customers

Or are you a skint postgraduate student reusing their wet teabags by airing them on the washing line? Maybe you’re somewhere between. Thankfully, Thornley Groves covers every extremity.
Yes, I walked past today and was surprised to find in the window flats to rent for £425 PCM adjacent to gargantuan penthouses setting you back over £2,000 twelve times a year. Crikey. Well, variety is the spice of life. And the Northern Quarter branch is next to a sex shop too. You’ve got to admire the Groves’ sense of humour.
When the BF was on one of his whims (it’s an Aries thing, I’ve learned to live with it) and had temporarily decided that we were moving to a bigger place… yes, all Ariean decisions are temporary — unless it’s a musician thing… well, he popped into Thornley and they were just lovely to him. Down to earth, pleasant and honest. They gave good advice and good brochure. Their website is remarkably simple, no heady graphics or pretention. And if you follow the shop round the corner to the side street, you’ll see the King’s Arms, one of the best pubs in Manchester. Now there’s a reason to go flat hunting. After all, alcohol can be inspiring. It can also make you think you have far more money than actually exists in your life. So try and keep your eyes off those penthouses, won’t you. Unless you’re a Coronation Street actor or a ballkicker. If that’s the case, go nuts. But get the dry roasted ones.
