This theatre is definitely my favourite place to watch a performance in Manchester as my time here as a student at the University. Yes, it might be a bit of a way out for me(1 extra fare on a tram to get here) however, its definitely worth it. I went to watch a pantomime here a few years ago whilst at high school and whilst at University I have been to see the Britains Got Talent live auditions here. The view from all the seats inside the theatre itself is superb, perfect viewing from all angles, and is also very comfortable for the 3 hour show I sat through. Whilst waiting for your production to begin, you can take in the small museum or the few bars inside the venue to stock up on your drink or take in the history of the venue. The location of this theatre also adds to it. I’ve been around the Quays a few times after a performance just for a walk round not only the Quays itself but the shopping centre and the surrounding areas. Salford Quays and the Theatre in particular are definitely worth a visit if in Manchester.

The Quays Theatre houses a great range of shows from music to musicals and comedy to serious drama. It is hosting Swing out Sister later this month. The theatre has a cosy feel and is well designed and built. There are a range of bars and a restaurant with reasonable prices. The car park is pay and display and is connected to the Lowry shopping mall next door. A great show coming up in Allo Allo as an alternative to the pantomime. This will be a funny show and ideal for the Quays theatre. You can also visit the various galleries that are housed in the same building as the theatre while you are waiting for yuor performance.

The lowry is a superb theater. Firstly the building itself is magnificent. Its a very unique looking place and a wonderful piece of architecture. Once inside there are many little bars located around and also a restaurant. The prices in here are not too expensive which is normally the case with places like this. The lowry hosts a variety of different shows from comedians, to plays, to ballet. there really is something for everyone there. Personally i have seen a couple of comedians there and also the Chinese State Circus(which is awesome) and there doesnt seem to be a bad hit in the house!!! really is a wonderful venue

Early last year I won tickets to see Tunde(out of the Lighthouse Family) play live. I was reluctant to go as I’m not a fan and hadn’t visited the theatre before so didn’t know what to expect there either. I am so glad I went. It’s a seated venue but with an intimate atmosphere. The music was fantastic complimented by the venue which was very swish. I now look out for what is playing at the Quays theatre as I thought it was such a great place. There is a pay and display car park as part of the complex — which includes another theatre, shopping centre, a museum, bars and places to buy food. I would recommend using this car park as it is in the best location to access the theatre and is secure. You could easily spend the day here relaxing followed by a visit to The Quays Theatre.
