one69A are a print studio offering a range of services like screenprinting and large scale digi-​printing. They also run educational workshops for children and community groups, and killer ‘live printing’ events where you can have a bash at screenprinting whilst swigging a can of Redstripe and nodding along to some tunes.
The quality of their print work is spot on, and they are the best quality screenprinters and large scale digiprinters I have found. The service is personal, when speaking to the team you can hear how passionate they are about the work they do, and this passion really comes through in their work. Give them a call at the studio and they will give you a personalised quote and chat you through the best way of printing what you’d like to produce (often recommending a cheaper option).
The events they run are educational, inspirational and jolly good fun. At children’s events the kids get really stuck in, often making their own designs, or creating screen prints they can take home. At more grown up sessions the focus is very much on the artists/​artwork and the tactile process of screenprinting. It is immensely satisfying to drag the ink across some fabric and see the image appear below, crisp and new!
Make a tote bag at a one69A event and you’ll be bragging about it to strangers on the bus and boring the crap out of your friends for months on end. And it will be tote-​ally worth it. (sorry).
