Masala Lounge Restaurant and Bar

Having read some of the reviews here, I was a bit cautious about what to expect. In the event, we enjoyed our Masala experience very much. A pleasant contemporarily styled Indian restaurant with an eclectic and varied menu.
The décor was simple, tasteful and effective in its style. It had the feel of a home dining room.
The food was excellent. Flavours were full and delicious, and the staff were attentive without being importunate. The only criticism we had was that the portions were a little on the small side, but the quality was very good.
We enjoyed the ambience and the fact that, unlike another establishment we used to frequent in Rugby, we could actually hear ourselves speak. So conversation was enjoyed. The music was in the background, not the conversation.
A meal for two (starter, main course, one desert, two coffees), plus one pint of beer and a couple of orange juices, was about £57, which is high end price for a curry, but we will be going back.
There is a car park near by, behind the Rupert Brooke pub.

Great value for money when you go the early bird deal. Food is lovely and staff are really helpful and friendly. Its a nice atmosphere too.

The food here was nice, just nice. It was enjoyable but it didn’t have a WOW factor. However the staff to me were not attentive and time during the meal were quite long. It looked fabulous as a general view as a restaurant.
But the cutlery wasn’t clean to my standards, and the toilets were quite messy
Parking was alright, quite complicated
The price was a bit expensive, but to be fair i did go with my friends in a group of 8 however none of us drink, and we had no alcoholic drinks

Absolutely loved it. We went with friends and had a fantastic evening! The food was superb and the service was super! Definitely recommend it and will definitely be going back.

The Masala Lounge is quite simply the best Indian restaurant and Takeaway in Rugby. I’ve been going there for 2 years, and I’ve never had a disappointing meal.
Great value for money, great menu and fantastic service.
Would recommend to anybody. Try the Tikka Masalas, they are amazing!

This Indian is a great restaurant with some very authentic nd also house specialties on the menu. The prices are really reasonable and average compared to others in the area and the portion sizes are really good, just enough and maybe not enough to have for breakie the next day but this is a plus point in my wifes opinion whom hates this student like habit of mine that I have been able to shake.
My recommendation would be the house beef balti and also their homemade kulfi is gorgeous, which is not everyones cup of tea but gorgeous and although not my favourite Indian is defiantly up their with the best.

I have been going to the masala lounge since it has opened, so I thought its about time i placed a review on the web like many others have. This place I have to say is the best in warwickshire by far, i have lived in rugby all my life and I have tried everywhere. Once this place opened I went to try it, its been open for about 2 years i think. The menu there is very large, be prepared to be spoilt for choices, this is one of the best things about this place, other than the service of course. The lads there are fantastic, very attentive. They always seem to appear at the right time, which I think is freaky but great as they are not over your shoulder like other indian restaurants. I can go on forever, but anyone reading this review, go and try it for yourselves. A*
