An amazing place that has a warm sense of welcome… As two tired travellers we felt like this place was a haven of good, resourcing energy. Family-​run place making its own delicious craft beer («brick») and serving such natural, simple food that it made us feel like we were being taken care of at home. On top of that, it’s super cheap!

Ha ha well now, this is another one of those pubs where finding fault is a tricky business. I’ll be honest. in over an hour (and two beers) in front of their roaring and spitting fire, I could not find any.
I drank the local ‘it creeps up on you’ beer Gambit, and another pint I fail to recall. Good beers (I remember that much).
Good crowd, in the end an amazing pub! Lovely chap serving up the beers too! Top bloke, knew his stuff. No wonder this place is winning national acclaim!
