It was New Years day and the hangover was hitting us hard so there was no other option for it — McDonalds was needed, badly! We drove over intending to use the drive through but it was easily 12 cars deep so we parked up and headed inside. I’ve been coming to this Mcdonalds for 20 years now and I can honestly say it has always been clean and the staff always helpful and accommodating. Our server was very smiley and helpful especially as we’d both forgotten our glasses and couldn’t see the menu properly. We ordered our food and were handed a ticket and order number(similar to Argos). We received our order in less than 5 mins and were on our way. We opted for the Big Tasty with bacon(large) with strawberry milkshake and a side of nuggets. The food was still hot when we got home and all the food was devoured with haste. Pretty much everything I want from a McDonald’s meal so an all round good experience.

MCD has its place in a busy life style all though many are worrying about a healthy life style I personally think you can combined both if you make the right choices The menu improves over time But you know that when you are there logic goes out of the window and you just settle for the big Mac and fries and whatever esle This place here at elk mill never ceases to amaze me They are in and out on this merry go round Drive through that is I like it here but sometimes it can get a bit to rowdy Maybe I like the peace and quiet, and also not to keen on having to queue so what do I do, its to have or not to have but everyone loves McDonald, s 8⁄10 I’m giving it and loving it,

This Mcdonalds in Elk Mill was one I visited to grab a quick bite to eat after having another look in Currys PC World. As I always say, Mcdonalds isn’t the best but in the Elk Mill retail park you have Pizza Hut, Nando’s that do Gluten Free(Nando’s not being very clean and just greasy as you can see in my review for that place), so I decided to call here to try this branch out and because I simply just wanted a snack. I ordered a Double Cheeseburger No bun and fries — having been told that is gluten free from their head office. The Drive Through service was one of the biggest I have seen, it had 2 microphones with an on screen guide to the menu, I was worried I would have to place it on the tablet like screen but they was a women who spoke to me to make sure my order was right, they was actually 2 of these, so when going in the drive through don’t think one lane is the exit, they is 2 lanes for ordering. As with the Harpurhey branch, I was told to park up while my burgers were made fresh and they were eventually brought to me, which I felt was quite quick considering the large amount of people going through both ordering lanes. The signal did not appear to be very good on the microphone, so it was even harder to explain the unusual circumstance of me wanting no bun on my burger, but she finally understood it, and ordered the Burger to be made from Fresh. My meal cost £2.88 and it came in a bag with ketchup(which I asked for), napkins and a knife and fork. Although, Mcdonalds isn’t the best place in the world it is still great as a backup, though combined with my Coeliac ways and fussy eating I can only give 3 stars, however this is one of the best branches of Mcdonalds I have been to. UPDATE: A Horrible Big(not so) Tasty from this store cost me alot of money and it just tasted awful and cheap and it was definitley over a fiver, I have had a few not so good meals from this place so a demotion to 2 stars is in order, I also found the staff to be quite impolite about forgetting my Monopoly stickers too which I didn’t end up receiving through no fault of my own. I wouldn’t avoid this branch at all cost but I would prefer to visit another hence the lowering down of the rating, which could be pushed down to 1 very soon with more pathetic experiances which are not good from a big name like Mcdonalds.
