Leaving aside the large screen this is an awesome locals pub (right down to a list of locals birthdays on the wall, what a fantastic idea!). Proper looking place too!
A choice of beers that made it very difficult for me to pick one for some special attention. I enjoyed my Cottage Duchess but reckon I would have had more fun with the Dark Star American IPA!

This is a classic traditional local boozer with great character, real ales and good prices. Lively friendly local trade keeps the place going enthusiastically. Very few of these social hubs still survive in tact. They normally have 3 real ales on hand pump and provide some surprises every week. No food or loud music, just beer and good company. Beer garden southside for kids.
