We went here for brunch with friends who really enjoy eating here. Café in the Park has a nice selection of breakfast options and pastries. Portions are generous. The scones in particular(not shown sorry) are huge and delicious. My friends said the other baked goods are yummy too.(They suggested the zucchini cake with lime frosting for our next visit.) In addition to the scone, I ordered the poached egg on toast with salsa and avocado. The toast is amazing: thick and crunchy. And the avocado was actually guacamole — good guacamole.(After living in Texas for a few years, I am spoiled and will rarely order guac since it seldom compares to Texas guac.) I also had a chai latte upon my friend’s suggestion. It was exactly what I look for in a chai latte. I would definitely return here next time I visit.

This is a vibrant café on the edge of the Aquadrome. They do have a ‘quiet room’ if you want to avoid children! They do breakfast and lunch, with a wide variety and I believe they try and source local and/or organic where possible. They also do a fab range of gluten free choices, including cakes, although sadly the cakes are not dairy free so I haven’t tried them. The staff are efficient and friendly. Great place to go either before or after a walk round the aquadrome which is a lovely natural space, the only downside is it does get very busy.

This is a great place to eat, especially after a long dog walk around the aquadrome. I love that the menu is quite experimental and different from any other food in the area. The staff are attentive and service time has always been quick for me. I sometimes find the shop can bee too noisy with lots of children running around, but otherwise I love this café.

Nice place for a coffee and food after a walk around the Aquadome. Though does get very busy when kids are not in school

love this spot — walk along the canal and around the lakes to work up an appetite then enjoy home made pastries and snacks, all day breakfasts and great choices from the lunch or kids menus . you can even enjoy an organic beer or glass of wine or 2 while sitting outside in the sun(if it is shining) otherwise try the quiet room. they even have free wifi if you need to connect with the world while sipping your mocha. gets busy at the weekends but great for an early walk and a treat during the week might see you there if you have a chance to escape to the oasis of the aquadrome one of ‘London’s’ best kept secrets.

If you’re are local to Rickmansworth or even if you aren’t particularly, this swanky lakeside café is a must visit. It looks a bit boat club with its wooden cabin structure and thus inside has a lovely high apex ceiling. Food is all locally sourced, organic and all that poncy jazz which appeals to many these days. The homemade cakes are literally to die for, espesh the chocolate orange Brownie! Have had many of these after ‘earning’ it pushing my mum around the lakes. Milkshakes here take a little time to prepare but are lush. Had a sausage and onion toasted sarnie here and mum bangs on about it all the bleedin time, so we are planning a little breakfast club on a Sunday soon. Café is open all year around, 7 days a week but shuts at 5, even in summer. It has a decking area for chilling out, watching the swans and geese scoot across the picturesque Aquadrome. It is über yummy mummy in here, maybe a draw back during the week for some as prams are everywhere and babies ‘n’ boobs litter every table but they have thought of everything and have a quiet room, no kids. Ace. I’ll be in there. People do come and use the upstairs bit ‘The Studio’ for conferences, meetings, family parties etc which am yet to experience. Gets megatron busy in summer but worth the wait for a choccy milkshake and an ice cream after the slog round the water.

This place is great for a quick bite to eat while enjoying the scenery of the aquadrome. we often walk down from Ricky at the weekend usually for a full English to fight off a hangover! Always seems busy especially in summer but can usually fit everyone in without any probs. Would recommend if in the area and fancy some fresh air.
