Similar in style and concept to the Wagamama chain, but, I feel somewhat better executed. Have always found the food to be well prepared and good value, and the service to be fine.

Fast, fresh and original Asian fusion cooking. Mix and match cooking from Japan, Malayasia amd China or at least a Europeanised view of them. Pleasant open and light double shop in pale grey makes a calm setting for a pleasant meal. Reasonable prices with big portions.

I like this place because i love soup! they have lots of choices on a cold rainy day! I had a spicy beef raman. the beef was to thick and a little chewy… i like the thin Vietnamese style beef… but soup had good flavor. I had chicken gyoza and i was very disappointed didn’t know you could mess up gyoza! anyways i like the concept of this place and having something so close to home… soup is a must in this cold English weather

Miso Noodle Bar sits at the base of the climb up the hill to Richmond Park. It proved a good place for a spot of sustenance prior to making the trek up the hill for the Unilocal picnic I had a bowl of char siew ramen which was tasty but not too filling. Perfect portion for someone about to go to a picnic! As it was a warm sunny day, they opened the windows which made it seem almost alfresco

No more than two hundred yards from Richmond bridge on the Ham side this can easily be missed. For anyone bored with Wagamama this is certainly a step up in variety and quality, prices are very similar. The menu is quite varied ranging from Dim Sum to Bento Boxes to Fried Noodles. I have eaten here a number of times and found the quality to be very good on each occasion. I can certainly recommend the King Prawn and Chicken Satay — delicious. Definitely a hit.

As a Chinese person, I must state quite vehemently that Miso is much better than Wagamamas. While neither have truly amazing food, the food at Miso is generally more authentic than the strange Japanese-Chinese-Western fusion at Wagamamas. Miso tends to have Chinese style food, however you can order Malaysian(e.g. laksa), Cantonese Chinese(noodles, rice, dim sum), Japanese(Japanese curries). I’d tend to stick to Chinese as that is where the chefs are from.

Food was average. it’s not expensive but it’s not cheap either?! Go there only if you fancy a change to Wagamamas

The third Miso Noodle Bar I’ve reviewed, but the best. Mind you, not surprising, given that this is based in Richmond and the other two I’ve been two are in the less glamorous location of chavtastic Croydon. The name of this place is something of a red herring. The menu here is actually more Chinese than Japanese in influence, but no worse a place for it. There’s wide variety in the menu, including the usual rice+meat, fried noodles, noodles in soup, and a ‘bento box’ which is an easy win for anyone who wants to be economical with their words when ordering. Tip: if you order the bento box, ask for a fork and a spoon, because it’s a nightmare trying to eat the rice or spoon the sauce from the meat over the rice otherwise.
