Delicious fish and chips to take away. One of the best in Redruth!
Restaurant has been updated and looks nice but we’ve not used it.

Morrish’s is a traditional fish ‘n’ chips restaurant and takeaway in Redruth and has been there for over 40 years. They have had a revamp in the last 12 months and it’s an improvement, particularly the toilets.
The fish is freshly cooked and delicious and the chips are good too.
Alcohol is on the menu if you want a beer or a glass of wine. Fish ‘n chip is still very good value for money at around £7 each (in the restaurant) and slightly less if a takeaway although there are some basic tables in the takeaway section where you can sit but no waitress service.
There can be a delay in serving sometimes, particularly between 5 and 7.30 pm. Avoid Fridays as it gets exceptionally busy. Many locals prefer to eat early.

my partrner lived stithians 30 odd years ago. he use to go to this chippy back then. we were on a evenings drive. he said wen he was younger how big a portion it was, i said as a youngster things look bigger. we decided to go down memory lane. trev said how the lay out was defo differant. any way had 2 fish & 1 poprtion
was hansome, chip were lovely to not greasy. we cudnt finish the chips aS we were full. the cost was very reasonable to. yes there was a wait. but i wud ratgher eat it cooked fresh, rather than its bin laying there for ages. friendly
so hard to please, not many chippy will i go back to, but morishs we will. thats when we down that way.

Morrish’s used to have the reputation as the best Fish and Chip shop in Cornwall but now it’s all a bit average, nothing really to write home about, if your hungry it fills a hole.
One thing to note is that the place can get really busy and you have to queue for a long time before getting served, if your ordering fish or fishcakes make sure you shout this out when you get in as they cook to order, else you can be in for a long wait.

This is a fish and chip shop with an attached restaurant.
The takeaway part is ok, with friendly staff and the food tastes good, although the order can take a while to get to you, especially when busy as they cook for the restaurant in the same place too.
The portion sizes are in my opinion a little small for the money compared to some others.
The restaurant is also ok, again I feel the prices can be a little high for the portion sizes, so it wouldnt be my first choice but would do if only a few places open or a situation like that.
