Halfords

I’ve been here twice. The first time was to buy a replacement piece of glass for my wing mirror, which I had smashed in some kind of car-​related scrape that I can’t even remember, such is the frequency of said mini-​crashes. The staff were helpful and I got the right mirror. Hooray!
I then got home to stick it on my car, shook it out of the packet (whilst standing on a concrete driveway — you can see where this is going) and it smashed on the floor.
So I put the smashed up glass in the packet, took it back to Halfords to buy another one, and they gave it to me for free! Even though it was totes my fault because I’m a moron! Hooray! (at the free wing mirror, not the fact that I’m a moron — that is no cause for celebration.)
AND Halfords rhymes with Salfords.

A nice big store with ample parking at the front. Staff always seem quite knowledgable about the products. However I did have 1 occassion with a car seat fitter who was very rude and first of all said you needed an appointment, someone overheard and said he didnt have any appointments booked so why not do it now. He reluctantly agreed and then told me that there was no way of getting 3 car seats into the back of any car. I left and went to mothercare who fitted 3 cart seats!
Other than that experience I have always found the staff to be good, though I will not be going back there for the next stage car seats!
