Was here for a mates 21st where he’d rented out the whole upper floor so I didn’t really spend too much time downstairs. I’ve not been in many walkabouts but I always saw them in the same vein as Wetherspoons and so was shocked to arrive to pounding music and a pretty lively atmosphere. The place is altright, a bit too dark for my liking but at least the bars are well lit. Prices are standard chain affair(cheap) but drink standards are low. The spirits tasted horrible, the coke/pepsi was flat beyond belief and my favorite Tipple(Strongbow) just… failed. It didn’t taste anything like a pint of Bow. In all there are better places in Reading to go, they may not be as cheap but hopefully the quality if better.

Typical of the Walkabout chain — some time since I last visited but always guaranteed a lively night especially following an England v Australia rugby match in the afternoon. The atmosphere is always good and the staff seem to make an effort to be friendly and helpful.

Wasn’t an easy find as we anticipated as vistors to the area but worth the hunt! Great atmosphere with friendly staff that will recommend a boomerang card. I personally made very good use of this advice and got one and it costs just £3, it allows you can get drinks cheaper such as Vodka Redbull for £1.50, bargain! The boomerang card also works on selected dishes on the menu giving you 20% off the original price! Not my favourite Walkabout but definitely worth a visit! Toilets were clean and the bar was generally well set out. Recommended to anyone who enjoys a good time out!
