You want apple pie, Custard in your milkshake? There it is
You want mints, haribo and peanut butter well there you go.
It’s made how you want with what ever you want!

Shake away is quite simply amazing.

We must have had twenty or thirty milk-​shakes from this place, filling up a couple of loyalty cards on the way. They are usually fantastic. Sometimes, they’re not brilliant, but this is because a chosen flavour doesn’t work as well as others. For instance, I had Toblerone flavour once, and too much of the choccy bar stayed quite intact in large hard lumps at the bottom.
But if you choose well, and there are around a hundred flavours to choose from, you’ll get a delicious treat. We never fail to be amazed at how much like the ingredient you chose, the shake really is! I had cherry and custard last time and that was magnificent. I try a different one each time, whereas my wife always has Parma Violets flavour. She thinks it’s the best shake ever. I’m sure they once told me they’ll make a shake out of anything you bring in.
So, the shakes are almost always beautiful. What about everything else?
The staff always seem to consist of trendy, punky, tattooed girls and they are always very friendly and fast at work churning out all the shakes. There’s a fun element in the shop, present in its menus, its posters and its competitions and its specials (promotional flavours). I’ve seen the staff dressed up to a Wild West theme once.
On Saturdays, there can be quite a queue of teenagers. There are all types of customers, but teenagers seem prominent. Actually, you never see an old person in there.
My problem is the overloud music. What a racket! So you have to scream your order at the staff and then wait amongst a small thirsty crowd, with everyone looking glum just because there’s no point in trying to say anything over the music. Come on, Shake Away! Why put all that effort into making a fun experience if we’re all too deafened and stupified to enjoy it?
There are a few tall seats where you can sit and drink your shake, but most customers seem to take them out once they arrive, as the seats are full of shocked-​silent folk waiting.
Yummiest shakes. Great fun. Fantastic going through the menu. But turn that music down! Then I’d give you five stars.

Pick your favourite sweets/​food/​random ingredients, request any toppings, and the lovely people at Shakeaway will cram it all into one tasty milkshake.
Now it’s nearing Christmas, I’m looking forward to a mince pie or Christmas pudding milkshake, served hot!
The only downsides are the price (usually at least £3.50) and the overly loud rock music.

This is a really great milkshake place. There are so many varieties to choose from. i love the classic oreo milkshake, you cant go wrong! The atmosphere is nice and comfortable, the staff are friendly and nice. The price is a tad expensive when compared to other milkshake like Shake a bout. But all in all it’s a great place.

Fantastic place for milkshakes. Every flavour under the sun. First went to the oxford store then was so happy that there was one in Reading too. They even sell fizz wizzzremember that? Fruit smoothies, milkshakes, sweets and drinks with all chocolate flavours even turkish delight! Regular visitor when in town!

Very good place for any taste and any demand of milshake. Just a very bad location.

Wieso ist in Deutschland noch niemand auf dieses Konzept gekommen??? Eine Karte mit einer Auswahl an ALLEN Süßigkeiten, die sich ein Mensch nur wünschen kann. Das alles wird in einem Mixxer püriert und dann mit Eis zusammen wie ein Milchshake serviert.

Brilliant stuff! Slightly bad on the waistline, although potentially you could have a cucumber milkshake! Rusk milkshake is great, but my favourite is the Josie — raspberries, meringue and blended cream.

would have gone there more often,.only they are not located so near the fish stall.

This place has a just about as many different types of milkshake as anyone could wish for. They are all made up fresh while you wait and all the ones I’ve tried have been good. It is fairly expensive compared to getting one from McDonalds etc but the quality is better. The only downside is its location in ‘Smelly alley’ near the fishmongers, which isn’t the most complementary smell following your milkshake.

It is brilliant here. They have a MASSIVE selection of sweets and chocolate for you to choose from to be made into a milk shake. Its often quite busy here, but you dont have to wait too long. You cant really sit down and drink as there are only a few seats and they arent very comfortable and you feel like you are blocking the way a bit. Not bad prices. I recommend the flying saucers one. Yummy

The milkshakes in Shakeaway are amazing, you can basically think of any sweet or chocolate bar and they will be able to mix it up and put it in a milkshake for you. They also do named special milkshakes which are normally unusual combos of sweets but taste absolutely amazing!
The milkshakes themselves are a little bit expensive but definitely not something to be drinking everyday anyway, good as a nice treat maybe once every few weeks because they are very sickly sometimes!
The staff are friendly and you don’t normally have to wait long for your milkshake either although there is not really much space to sit inside if you want to sit and drink your shake which is a bit annoying! The BRILLIANT milkshakes make up for everything else though: D

This is a great little café/​shake shop. You can’t really sit there and drink the milkshake comfortably as all they provide are barstools and a little bar, but it’s perfectly adequate to sit there while waiting.
Basically, you pick your chocolate/​biscuit/​fruit (and there are over 150 options) — more or less anything you want. They add that to a base of icecream and milk (you can get soya versions if need be), and BLEND.
The milkshakes taste amazing– but then, you’re effectively drinking icecream so it’s not surprising. Large portions give good value for money, but you could easily make these at home for a fraction of the cost.

Best milkshake place around! They’ll make milkshakes from virtually anything you can think of.
It’s hidden away down smelly alley, but well worth the trip. Can get very busy though!

This is a real must for a milkshake fan — they’ll make one out of pretty much anything. I can truely recommend the after eights milkshake — yum. They’ll also do a soya milk based one if you ask.
Hidden off the main street — so never ridiculously busy either

Just think of the strangest combination of milkshake flavours and they probably have it!
I must have bought milkshakes from them dozens of times but I never even touched on all the combinations available.
Great for the lips, maybe not so great for the hips.
