This Sainsbury’s has wide selection, if extremely narrow aisles. When it gets busy, and yes, it gets very busy, there’s barely enough room for two people to pass. And to add to that, the queues («lines» in American) for the tills («registers») can be long. Even more if a couple of the self-​checkout ones are not working.
Prices are decent — they seem to be the same as the larger «super» stores — Tesco Extra and Asda — that I shopped recently. That’s good to see, especially since I’m sure that their costs are higher as this is in such an urban location.

this Sainsbury is not so big though you get all essential stuff requiredhuge offers everyday like buy one get one chicken
The best product of sainsbury i feel is puff pastrytried many other shops like tescos but didnt like as much as sainsbury’s.

Sainsburys local is no more local than the Sainsburys on Friar street.
the only difference is that this store is a lot smaller and does not offer the same value or choice as friar street branch.
Strangely though, it does offer hot rotisserie chicken and pies and the like, whereas the bigger store does not.
this store is at the end of Broad Street opposite the Oracle entrance.
It is always packed, but there are around 10 tills so you do not usually wait for long to be served.
I would recommend trying the bigger store first as you cannot always find what you need in this store and end up buying something similar but more expensive than you actually need.

Der Standard Supermarkt in Reading is wohl Sainsbury. Was soll man da groß zu schreiben. Suprmärkte an sich finde ich sind einfach anders aufgebaut in England. Es is alles netter präsentiert und selbst die verschrumpelte Banane wirkt in der Auslage noch ansprechend ;)
Und das alles mit ein wenig Wasserdampf — Technik die begeistert !!

This Sainsbury’s central is one of the small, city centre stores but has a wide range of products nevertheless.
Despite being very busy at lunchtime almost all tills were open so there was virtually no queue. The assistants were very helpful, finding me a Nectar brochure and helping with other queries.
Highly recommended.
