Reading Lake Hotel

Pretty hotel on the outside — the rooms were extremely expensive and nasty. Sheets were gross and damp.

Access to this hotel is not the easiest and is possibly a nightmare if you’re not driving.
Aside from that, everything else about this place is positive. The staff, reception to room service to bar and restaurant staff all provided excellent service during our 3 night stay. The lake views from the room and bar and restaurant were lovely. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced. The bedroom was very clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Fabulous selection available for breakfast but at over £15 each, it’s probably best to try to get breakfast included in your room rate when booking.
Car park was huge, I can’t imagine them ever running out of parking space even if all the conference facilities were fully booked.
A good hotel for a break away from it all. Bar is spacious and relaxing, with sports when major matches are on.
Overall: highly recommended.
