Prezzo

We went there for a birthday celebration and had a company of 20. We were very well taken care of, the staff were attentive despite our indecisiveness and the busyness of the place on that night.
The food was good, the pizzas were not thick and one pizza per person was definitely filling. The pastas were huge, definitely worth the money paid. To top it off, we could use a discount voucher (they constantly updated their website for these vouchers) and we only paid a meagre sum per person although we had much to eat and drink.
The ambience was fantastic as well. If there was no large crowds like us, the place would be fantastic for a dinner date.

It was my sons birthday week so his friends set up a Saturday evening at this restaurant inviting my son and his parents (us), totalling 21persons. We arrived at 7.30pm by taxi and received attention immediately. We were given promotional vouchers which offered starter OR dessert plus main course and one drink for only £10 !! What great
gets certainly bums on seats ! The menu on the voucher was shorter than the normal main menu in items on offer, so some of the party varied their choice, paying the extra to get a starter or sweet to supplement the voucher menu. We had wine and beer and we majored on pizzas and/​or chicken selections. We were served quickly and efficiently and we enjoyed the evening. The staff were great and came often to see if we were enjoying our meals. A good evening in nice surroundings.

I love their risotto. It is a friendly and relaxed restaurant, above the average on Italian food. It deliveries a good value for money

I have been to Prezzo Reading 4 times and have been really happy on all 4 occasions.
the pizzas are thin based ones and really tasty.
However i prefer their pasta as it is homemade apparently.
spaghetti carbonara or pasta with meatballs are my favorites.
the winelist is decent and prices are sensible.
Service comes with a smile and is spedy to boot.
The restaurant is quite small and cosy.
this is my favorite italian restaurant in reading.

I had a terrible time last time I was there.
The fire alarm was going off for at least 30 minutes (it had broken apparently), so you couldn’t hear yourself think. Noone came to apologise or anything in that time, just ignored us.
When we did get our food (about an hour after we arrived) mine was cold, so I politely sent it (with some salad now on the side) back. And — you’ve guessed it — they microwaved the whole lot!!! Including my salad! When I said something, they just shrugged and walked off leaving me with it.
Noone came to see us, so we just paid and left without finishing our meal. I wish I’d persevered and complained more at the time.
Will probably give it another chance at some point as it might have been a one-​off but nervous

I really like the food in Prezzo and find that the service is always good (no matter how busy the restaurant gets) and the prices are very reasonable.
The wine list use to be quite limited, however last time i went i noticed they had added a few more wines (and they are still all at a reasonable cost).
I feel the service is just right, we get our courses nice and fast, yet we are never rushed to leave.
During the week they often have a lunch menu which has alot of choice, and is extremely reasonable — perfect excuse for trying out the restaurant.
