Located inside the ticket barricade at Reading Station, Caffe Ritazza has a decent selection of pastries and the usual espresso-based coffee drinks. It’s quite well made though the coffee itself isn’t much of a differentiator compared to AMT or Costa. What’s nice about Ritazza is that they have a few tables and chairs nearby so if you’re early for your train, it’s a nice place to sit and watch people rushing past.
The station has a BT Openzone wi-fi hotspot and Ritazza is in range.

Café just inside the ticket barrier in Reading Station. It has a few seats outside and when I visit they serve pretty quickly which is what you are looking for when you are catching a train.
