Museum Of Lancashire

For a museum of Lancashire it was very military heavy on its exhibits. I would have expected a more rounded selection of exhibitions. Also visiting during the holidays I would have liked to seen a temporary exhibition in their space however this was closed.
This is a very child friendly museum with lots to do and things to touch but lacked in any real education pieces for adults. We spent a grand total of 40 minutes here I’m sure if you have children you could stretch it to and hour and a half but don’t plan your day around a visit.
A free visit and free car park but be aware parking is very limited and they face onto a main road.
There are lots of levels and although they have lifts and stair lifts bear this in mind when visiting
Another museum I can say I would not bother with again but fine if you find yourself stuck in Preston.

It is an alright museum. The atmosphere and ambiance is good. Need more artifacts to enliven the place.
