Lyons Nant Hall Hotel

My husband and I ate at The Nant Hall on Sunday 20^th May 2012 and it was lovely, i think the food is priced cheaply and the variety was good. Apparently they have a new chef which has made great improvements to the 2011 reviews on here. The owners were also dining that day which says alot for its self. The area is lovely, the gardens and outdoor space is fantastic especially as it was a lovely sunny day. I had the roast beef dinner which was nice, the yorkshire puddings (beign from Yorkshire) were a little on the browner side but still nice, I had crème brûlée with strawberries which was nice, and hubby had the warm chocolate brownie which he said was great! Peroni is nice and the young man behind the bar was helpful in updating me on the facilities and local area when i asked him. Love the décor, they have made a nice effort to have that simple modern twist to an old building. Well worth a visit if your looking for a nice relaxed meal out in nice surroundings, with a home cooked meal. The only thing I would say is that even through the day i think someone should come to the table to take your order and not have to go to the bar with your table number, but other than that i would give them a 10 out of 10! and i have recommended to my family when they are stopping at Winkups in a few weeks time! also if your staying at Winkups & Primrose Caravan Park in Towyn you can arrange for the free courtsey bus to come and collect you at certain times if you want to have drink and get a lift homeperfect! (same owners Nant Hall & Winkups, plus a few others!)

Food was ok nothing special service bit slow

The Nant Hall is, I believe, no longer a hotel, but it is a very nice restaurant. They seated 10 of us no problem at relatively short notice, but don’t be put off by this, it’s due to the size of the dining area not because they were empty at the time! Even though we were a large party they managed us easily, the service was great and the food even better. Classy interior as pp said.

The setting is superb and the food is very good quality. I personally preferred it when the outdoor area was set up with the childrens play area. This has now sadly been disabled due to I believe Helath & Safety reasons leaving the area without anywhere to take children to when you are dining out for entertainment.

The Nant Hall is in a prime location for holiday makers visiting Prestatyn, close to most main camps within the town.
It serves a wide variety of food at mid range prices, however drinks are quite expensive.
The building however is very nice and has a lovely beer garden, classy interior and very clean toilets facilities.
