Alison Stedman, the proprietor of this B&B, is the most gracious host I encountered on my two weeks in the UK. I have posted some of my photos to show how elegant yet comfortable the common rooms are. Their lounge is filled with art and books and comfy furniture. Their conservatory, through French doors from the lounge, is sun-filled and gives the feeling of being in a centuries-old house, yet is modern with windows that open and shades. The dining room is large with seating for all three guest rooms and a fireplace that was used one morning. They have a small outdoor lawn with a fountain and recliners seen from the conservatory. Of course, on arrival you are offered tea and a snack. The rooms are very stylish and clean with windows that open and very comfortable beds. I had a dressing table and stool, side tables and a large chair as well as a coffee/tea station filled with snacks and bottled water each day, all of it complementary. You can walk to the center of the town in 3 minutes and the inn is located right off the A40. There are so many interesting and picturesque sights that I cannot number them. I especially loved the birdsong I heard throughout the day and evening and the feeling Alison creates of being a guest yet being at home.
