The Slug and Lettuce – Portsmouth

This is a new Slug and Lettuce pub in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. It is in a great location by the waterside and, in the summer, it is lovely to sit outside for a drink or something to eat and watch the ships go by.
The pub serves the standard Slug and Lettuce menu — not too cheap, but not that expensive either — of pasta, burgers, sandwiches, etc. The menu changes slightly a few times a year. They also serve draught and bottles lagers, wine, cocktails and soft drinks.
You are served at your table so you don’t have to queue at the bar for food, and staff are quite friendly and knowledgeable. Children are welcome until 9 p.m. and there is a children’s menu.

Great new-​ish pub in gunwharf quays. I love the slug and lettuce bars for the chilled atmosphere they have. There are two levels and on both, there are table outside. There’s a stunning view of the waterfront and it is quite romantic in the evenings. There is plenty of space so you don;t feel overcrowded. The drinks are really good prices and there are always special offers to get the most out of your money. The food and snacks are good and will appeal to most people — again, they won;t break the bank. For a chilled out, fun night try here
