I’m French and I decided to go there with some mates. The food was pretty good. Obviously you can’t find all the French standart meal but the quality is nice :)
However I don’t give the 5stars because of the noise. You can’t hear your friends speaking…

Got to admit, i have never been a fan of french style food. But this café really lives up to it’s reputation for great food! Reasonably priced food, great staff and a fab atmosphere to boot. I’d certainly recommend this place to friends, and plan to make another trip back very shortly!

I do love the atmosphere of this French restaurant/​café, it makes for a change of pace during busy days out at Gunwharf Quays. The menu is bursting with tasty options, and while they are all reasonably priced, if you are tempted by several courses (as I so often am) the total can add up rather quickly! That said it is good value for money as the food is always lovely and the service is great. I generally like to visit for a late lunch or on quieter evenings of the week.

Café Rouge always delivers, if its a quiet night for two or party for 10, the service and atmosphere is always on the money.
This one is no different, its better to book a table otherwise you will be left on the lower tier by the doors that can be cold in the winter, but otherwise nice place.
Food we have had is always first class, no reason to complain about any aspect of the service or food.
Always look forward to going again.

Lovely food and a great choice on the menu. I went with my work colleagues for our christmas meal last year and we all had a great night. They were very welcoming and we had disposable cameras on the table so we could document the night! The food was really nice and they coped well with the business of the evening.

A really nice french café in a really nice location. I enjoy coming here in particular for breakfast. There is a lovely selection of hot dishes and pastries which are fantastic for sharing. The lunch menu is also good and very nice quality. There is a clean, chilled atmosphere. In summer there are loads of table outside which really makes it feel like a french café. The prices are good and there;s a nice range on the menu. Service is friendly and you can have a relaxed long lunch without feeling rushed out. Children are welcomed.
