Coney Beach Amusement Park

At the end of the walk from Trecco bay caravan park lies this tacky fairground. I was in Wales for a week in July so this place should have been packed but the people either didn’t notice it or walked in and saw the rides either not working or not being run and left. The saving grace however was that on Wednesday evening rides are only £1 so for an hour i was able to spent not so much money to keep two kidsmhappy and the rides were longer than if you had queues of people waiting to get on. I hate all the candy floss and penny arcades around the fairground but i know that comes with the territory and at least they weren’t right in the middle of the caravan park so didn’t have to listen to the kids whinging every day to go on the rides.
Just below on the sand from the fairground are donkeys and ponies waiting for the children and although some people may say they are being exploited they looked well looked after, well fed and had a field to go to.

This is less of an amusement park in the respect that I would always think of: it’s hardly a Chesington World of Adventures or Alton Towers. It’s not even a Legoland.
No, this amusement park is more like a permanent fairground, with all the slightly dodgy looking rides (the sort you can pack up in the back of a lorry and drive to the next destination) and the slightly dodgy looking operators.
This being said, you can still have a good time at Coney Beach, it’s just going to be the kind of fun you get from eating too much candyfloss. The location is quite nice, with a large and popular beach and seafront just a hop skip and a jump away. There are also donkey rides available if you’re into that kind of thing. It’s something a bit different anyway.

In need of complete renovation which is in the process of being a reality as part of town regeneration plans. enjyed still by young and old alike

great seaside town and funfair. local caravans with easy walk to beaches and fair. chips, golf clubs and amenities with in walking distance. had great hoildays here with my family and as a child. i rate it highly for a way from the big buzz holiday. friendly locals

This place is a bit of a hole.
With old, dirty and worn out looking rides it really needs some money spending on it.
Most of the staff seem like they cant be bothered and it is very expensive.
There are a few places to eat and loads of arcades on the sea front but the beach is dirty and dangerous with broken glass lying around.
Not really a very good day out unless you spend the whole time in the High Tide Arcade

Sadly this place has been let to run down into the ground over the years. Once a great place for locals and tourists alike, now a rather dangerous, dirty and frankly disappointing place.
It’s unfortunate that it will never be rejuvenated to its former glory with the development of more flats in the area
