personally, I think«Café Remo’s» would be amazing if it had nicer staff, and the prices weren’t so high. It may be called a «family run buisiness» but it seems to me like this family care only about money. I have not once seen the owner smile, or be nice to anyone other than those buying a lot of their overpriced food. A small slice of chocolate fudge cake is £3.20, when really the cake itself is only worth about £3 itself. I once went in there with a few friends and when a couple of them said they weren’t buying anything a) as they’d allready eaten and b) they didn’t have much money on them to spend on expensive things he(I quote) told them«if you aren’t buying anything you’re no use to me, piss off». I used to like it there, and I just dealt with his rudeness but I will never be going there again.

My partner and I went to Remo’s last night. Food was not cheap and not cooked to a very high standard. My mussels were as tough as old boots and Michael’s chicken was exactly the same. Not somewhere we would visit again.

Came here for the first time yesterday on a hot sunny day. It sems to be the best place to eat in the whole seafront area and there is indeed a great menu, also some nice, imaginative, vegetarian choices. The coffees are lovely too and the service friendly. You can sit inside or out and there’s a variety of seating, from wooden picnic tables outside to ordinary tables and chairs inside, or high bar-type stools. It was very crowded and noisy inside. UPDATEJULY2011 Back here today for lunch which was nice but rather pricey. The place was packed out and there was a high noise level very hard to hear yourself speak without shouting(same as last time). However, the golden haired Adonis with the dazzling smile who served me today made up for a lot ;-)

This is a great little café, situated directly on Aberavon seafront. It opened a few years ago, and is a family run business. Service is very friendly and welcoming. The menu is extensive, with something tempting for all tastes — ranging from a light snack to a full meal. I usually meet friends there for a skinny latte — blissfully passing the day sitting on the leather settees watching the world go by! I have eaten here several times as well — their baguettes are gorgeous. They also do a roast dinner on Sundays, and I’ve been told that they’re worth a try.
