Rancho Steak House

This is the first time that I’ve been to Rancho which is just off Poole Quay. The menu is ‘South American Meat’ and the décor is well presented. We were a large group which will always cause problems with ordering although the starters arrived in good order. The mains were confused, with dishes arriving which were not ordered and a waitress who’s frustration was evident. After some barking of instructions, mains were delivered and these were well presented. I had a starter of chilli squid, the batter was crisp and not at all greasy and the I suspect the dipping sauce was processed. There were three small pieces of squid, which was disappointing. My steak arrived; a 400g ribeye which was cooked blue at my request. The meat was good and well cooked. A side of onion rings included just four rings, again very disappointing as was the salad included on the plate. All in all it was a nice meal with friends, let down by average service and small portions of sides and starters.

Went here a few weeks ago and had a great meal. Had a blue medium fillet steak and some garlic fried potatoes and my Girlfriend had Surf and Turf.
The food was fantastic and the service was really good. We were also excited to find that there is a branch opening up in Bournemouth just down the road from where we live!
A great meal and a great time. We look forward to going again!
