Canton Restaurant

Decided to look for a local Chinese eat-​in restaurant with plenty of veggie choices as well as crispy chilli beef for an evening meal and came across here.
It was impossible to park outside on the main road so had to park in a residential road and walk for 5 minutes. Surprisingly we were the only ones here at 7 on a Saturday night — always suspicious when eating somewhere new. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. A choice of set menus are available but I chose crispy chilli beef with egg fried rice instead — the portions were more than I could manage so it’s advisable to share if possible. The food itself was satisfactory but nothing amazing. Despite just having mains and a drink it cost almost £20 each; luckily the waitress provided foil trays with lids so I could take my leftovers home with me.
A bit pricey for what we got, especially since the food wasn’t stand-​out great — glad I tried it but I’ll be going to another Chinese next time!

Restaurant is of a good standard.
Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere.
They have an all you can eat buffet which is good value and a good menu.
All in all, worth a visit.
