The Pottery is a bit of a hit and miss thing in my book, and reading the comments below i understand why people are not happy, but as a person that is reviewing this quite recently i hope i can share some positive feedback also unfortunately some bad. Lets start with the good. when i went there before, i never knew they do themed nights and burger with a pint is lovely! 5.99 for a standard bacon and cheese chicken burger with a Strongbow is a bargain! and when i have my fat days garlic bread and upgrade to a king-size burger for under a tenner is well worth it! You find no room for dessert! They always ask me even on a bad day do i want any more sauces with my meal, and with me and my other friends saying tons they aren’t skingy when i ask for more. i tried steak night also and for the price again you cant complain, and on this day the food was piping hot and served how i like it(medium-rare). The waitress i had also was very friendly and asking me was my meal okay and do i need anything else. unfortunately 10minutes before us she was dealing with a complaint but she handled it beautifully and the customers was very happy with the outcome. Now the bad. Beware if your hungry there is always, and i mean always a wait, sometimes up to an hour they say. I never personally waited myself up until an hour but after 20mins your finger nails seem like your food not the thing your ordered. Also quite recently there is always a problem. one week i went and on the door it said sorry no pepsi due to a electrical issue and the following week was sorry we cant serve chips garlic bread etc only the following. due to water damaged in the kitchen So a refurb is defiantly needed. Also like i said i have had amazing service but i also i have had some crappy one. The woman that was serving me didn’t write down all my order, so when it came i was missing a side dish, i ask where it was and they said i never ordered it and got all stroppy, also the same side dish i wanted my friend had a hers was burnt. So like i said i am in two different worlds and opinions for this particular Pottery so my opinion is go there, try it, don’t like it, at least you haven’t broken the bank and there’s a Mcdonalds down the road.

The pottery used to be a fantastic pub in a convenient location with great food. However this appears to be a thing of the past as the place looks like it needs a make over and meals are certainly not the standard that they once were. Theres other resteraunts close that I would recommend first.

The pottery was great a few years ago but recently has gone down hill. It is located on the industrial estate quite close to more popular resteraunts like Nando’s. It has ample parking and an outdoor play area for children. I would not recommend eating here as the food we have had has been cold and bland.

My family and I went to this unfortunate restaurant on the Easter Bank holiday 2009. I wish we had driven past. We had chosen that particular restaurant as it had a play area on waljking into the building we discovered it was closed. We were told when we went to order our meal it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait, this turned into over 1 hour with a 6 year old and a three year olds to entertain this seemed forever. We were sitting in area 3 around us there was numerous complaints about the food one couples’ food was burnt. Another family also complained and a? manager was very obliging giving them free drinks or free sweets. My husband went to the bar to get fresh drinks and waited over 20 minutes in which time the food had actually been served and was getting cold. My husband had steak and a sauce when he poured out the sauce he discovered a hair. my husband complained at the end of the meal to a Young? manager who apologised and offered us free sweets. When he returned approx 15 minutes later he was very rude implying that the Hair did not come from the kitchen he implyed that it was planted there in order to get freebies. I was very insulted and told him so. I was the only couple to complain who had children and I felt he was implying we could not afford the meal. I have my own Limousine Company so I could easily afford the meal and drinks. If you are thinking of going to this unfortunate restaurant that had staff worse than Faulty Towers then my advise is DON’T GOTHERE.
