Croes-y-Parc Chapel is a local Christian place of worship, found in the rural area of Peterston-super-Ely. I am far from a religious man and, truth be told, I haven’t been to a weekly church service once in my life. Despite that fact, this church was the site of my daughter’s blessing service(which, for all intents and purposes, is basically a Christening service) and I must say I was very impressed with the venue. The church has been a regular place of Christian worship since the 18th century, and the current building as it stands today has been present since the mid 19th century, so there is a lot of history within the walls of this building. Due to my lack of experience in this field, I really wasn’t sure what to expect prior to the service, but I found the service to be quite enjoyable considering I don’t class myself as a Christian. Although, it did seem to drag on towards the end, with many of the other visiting members of the congregation making frequent glances at their watches as the service went on. Despite this, the people were very friendly and welcoming and the chapel itself is a genuine piece of local history, making this a great place to go if you are a Christian living in or around the area.
