Good food, real ale. Great welcome. We took our kids out for lunch and took advantage of the one dry day recently. The kids had a great time in the play area. This was great because it was all enclosed so even though there is a car park the kids are really safe. Great open area next to the playground for the kids to run around. Can’t wait for another sunny day to go back. Might get a babysitter and give it a try in the evening. The food was really good and we hear that they will have a new chef from this weekend so the food should be even better.

5 stars pub with cheap house beers, only 2£!! Perfect for an after work that often extend until late for me(yeah only 2£ the beer). Perfectly located next to Carnaby street — Kingly court, no cars passing in front so everybody is outside where the atmosphere is awesome! Recommended to meet up with friend :)

Been drinking here on and off for nearly 12 years which says plenty! It’s an extremely cheap boozer for London and that’s because it’s a Samuel Smiths pub. A great tip for all drinkers looking for a cheap pub is to google sam smith in your area– there are supposed to be over 40 in zone 1 with some famous ones like The Chandos and The Champion amongst them. When was the last time you bought a round for 4 people and got change from a tenner? If everyone’s drinking beer– a pint costs between £1.80 and £2.50! The Red Lion itself is a traditional style boozer with wood pannelling and carpets and booth-style seating upstairs. All Sam Smiths pubs have a no music policy which I used not to like but actually approve of these days! It’s a great centrally-located pub– Kingly Street runs parallel with Regent Street on the Soho side– and is a great place to rest your legs on a shopping trip or any day out in the West End.

An actual pub in central london that sells cheap good beer! Horaaaaaay! I met friends in the front bar of this cosy pub off Kingly Street and promptly ordered a pint of lager and was staggered when it came to just over £2, and tasted delicious! No brand names in here, but why would you want them? Loved the cosy atmosphere in the front bar, and then was completely suprised when I wandered to find the toilets that the place is actually really big, especially upstairs. I wondered how it was that I had managed to get a table! Would totally recommend this pub for post work drinks, meeting up with friends when you want a good old natter, or when you are truly skint!
