The Metropolis Lounge

Great place if you like the smell of BO and don’t wash your hands. Most lagers served in cans for that ‘classy’ feel.

The Met Lounge is right near the new TK Maxx and Poundland. It’s open on Fridays and Saturdays. Fridays is often the rock nights with live bands, whereas Saturday nights features some more broad music. Ranging from rock, metal, R&B, dance, electro… they’ll have a lot of different sorts of music playing. If you ask the DJ nicely you can sometimes get a requested song played.
The Met Lounge has a very nice, friendly and social atmosphere. This is despite it feeling like an underground party location rather than a mainstream club.
My only complaint with the Met Lounge is the floors and surfaces. No matter when you go in (even if you’re the first one there) the tables, floors and counters are ALWAYS sticky! Otherwise a pretty decent venue :)

All ways an enjoyable night out. offering music that other clubs dont play in Peterborough. A good mix of rock/​indie/​metal and a friendly more personal atmosphere. They offer alcohol at low prices and special promotions on certain nights.
