Peterborough Services A1 M

As road services go, this one is pretty good, but not necessarily my favorite. Yes, I have been to a fair share of road services all over the UK, so I do have my favorites. This one certainly looks bigger from the outside. The car park is a bit of a nightmare and this place always seems so busy. While it isn’t one of the biggest services, there are quite a few food choices to choose from, although it is mostly focused on fast food. I was surprised to see a burrito place. The one thing that annoys me, the ATM. This ATM, without fail is not compatible with my card. My card is always declined, not sure why (although I have my suspicions), but it is just annoying. I have only seen this place very, very busy, so if you are in a hurry or don’t like crowds… or queuing for KFC, you may want to steer clear of this services.

Pleasant spot this, main good things are proper coffee with Costa outlet (OK, there is contention there, but generally gives a reasonable caffeine hit and tastes fine) as well as a mini M&S, so you can get your healthy option grub and have a picnic lunch at one of the many tables in the centre court. All kept clean and tidy, good loos, friendly staff and there is free WiFi if you can work out how to access it. Recommended stop off.

As service stations go this one is pretty decent. As eateries go there is something for all the family although as you expect from all stations prices are a little elevated. Nice and tidy. Even when those who cannot be bothered to clean there own mess the staff are quickly on it. Plenty of car parking.

Clean toilets and good selection of places to eat. Also has a picnic area
