Jenas Tandoori

I’ve eaten at Jenas a couple of times now and they never disappoint. Have yet to have reason to fault them. Their staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgable about their food, even suggesting alternatives to our order which were fantastic options! The food is gorgeous, nicely flavoured and not just a hot spice fest.

Been here many times, always fantastic staff and the food is great. Very fresh tasting food with really good portions.. The freshly cooked tandoori dishes didn’t disappoint. Jena’s also offers takeaways and a delivery service, which I take the advantage of when I don’t fancy eating out. The joy of Jena’s in your own home Perfect! :) The prices are not bad either.
Quite a popular restaurant in Peterborough and one of the very few that are actually established.

They’ve got a varied menu and the prices are reasonable I paid just over £35 for two, including a few drinks.
We had a Lamb Passanda and a Vegetable Biriani, both were delicious. They slightly overcooked one Chipati, but informed us they were already cooking another one as they brought it out, as it didn’t meet their usual standard.
The restaurant itself is nice and comfortable, not noisy but not so quiet that you are conscious of talking. Overall very happy and will be going again.

Decided I would give Jena’s a try. Having had the wafting smell entice me from across the Stanley Recreation Ground on many occassions, it was time to dive in, and break from my all time favourite curry house. Opted for a take-​away. So a chicken Biryani c/​w vegetable curry it was. Both cartons were chocked full to the brim and very heavy. Plenty of chicken in the savoury rice, and a huge assortment of vegetables with the curry. Enough easily for two persons. Not as aromatic as I am accustomed, a few cardamoms/​cinnamon bark would have really made this. I also decided to try a Tandoori Mixed Grill Starter Menu says enough for two yep they were right on this one, a very generous portion, and tasty too.
Although portions were generous and home delivery was quick (minimum order £10.00) I didn’t think that Jena’s was all I expected it to be. A little bit on the pricey side, and yes I agree with qyper takeachane they do smoke outside, albeit to the rear of the building. I may go for an eat in meal, but only if my usual is either fully booked or a fire has torched the building.

Food was good service was extremely slow.

The food here is no Asian food. This is something that the cook made all by himself.

Food here is decidedly sub average. Nothing stuck out when i ate here. The staff all stand outside smoking which i find slightly off putting. Inside the service is similar to that at McD — perhaps less smiling here though! I also had a takeaway from here — threw it away. All in all i wouldn’t bother going back — location is the only thing going for it as it is very central.
