A pub on a beach is always at risk of being a victim of style and location over substance but once I had tasted the best pint of Betty Stogs that I have ever had (apart from the one I had at the brewery itself!) I was sold on the dream. Would have been even better if I could have actually seen the sea through the thick coastal mist!
The other beers on offer are the Cornish favourites; Tribute, Doom Bar and Cornish Coaster (in disguise, as it often is!). The prices are a bit steep, but they are entitled to be, given their unique location.
Oh and they do live music too. What an awesome place.

This bar is awesome! Live music, great drinks and wicked people, all on a beautifull beach in Cornwall. It’s been my holiday destination of choice for years now — who needs to go abroad when you can get all on your doorstep!

One of my favourite bars in Britain. Can’t top it for a late summer evening or for sheltering in a winter storm.
Beer is good, but expensive. The owners know how good the place is and make the most of it. What is a little sneaky is the way they bump up the prices at peak times of the year. Otherwise it’d havye got five stars.

I love this place. I have fantastic memories of watching the sun set with family and friends whilst listening to awesome music. This is one of my favourite places in the whole wide world! Also, next door to the watering hole is a take out so you can pop there and get a can of coke or some food for the beach.

The WAtering Hole is the best oub in Perran and one of the best in Cornwall. Situated right on Perranporth beach it has fantastic views accross the sands. You can either sit inside and watch live sports or sit outside and enjoy the views. obviously the watering hole is a summer pub. food is good too

The Watering Hole is right in the middle of Perranporth beach and has a large bar and plenty of indoor/​outdoor seating, the place is half filled with sand because of the location.
Worth going in the winter for a hot chocolate or try the fish and chips, the fish is huge! They have live bands playing in the evenings pretty much throughout the year.
Only downpoint with this place is that it’s the only one nearby on the beach, it’s cornered the market and they know it, so expect to pay through the nose for drinks, foods not too badly priced, but then again the views fantastic watchingthe waves roll in.

The Watering Hole is my favourite pub. And whenever im in Cornwall I really hope to make it here!
Its situated on the beach and very surfy, they have good food and drink and its a very relaxing place.
The sea views are fantastic as is the atmosphere and you feel very welcome. I LOVE IT!!!
Definately make the visit if you get the chance!
