A very small and incredibly old cinema. The screens are tiny and the staff are not the friendliest. You have to queue for tickets with there being no advance ticket system. The only cinema this west of Cornwall. It has a very long history with being one of the oldest in the country. One useful tip. If the film is very popular, come early and have a drink upstairs. You get to go in before anyone else is allowed so you can get a better seat and have the ability to make sure you can sit next to your friends and family. Above it there is a family restaurant and attached is a take away pizza place.

The Saturday and Sunday kid’s shows for a £2.50 and you get a drink and popcorn are well worth it. No bad at all.

This is quite a nice cinema. It is right in the middle of town which makes it very easy to get to. There is a restaurant above which does special meal deals to go with the movies. The food is excellent and is always served in time for you to go in to the film of your choice providing you arrive on time. The cinema itself has numerous screens all of which are comfortable and clean. The screen sizes are good in relation to the size of the auditoriums. There are no funny smells and the chairs are reasonably comfortable. The staff are really helpful and polite. There decent movies seem to be shown quite quickly in relation to the release date.

smeely. sticky carpets. sound system usually too loud. A typical regional cinema and the reason why DVD’s do so well.
