My sister and had booked a room here last August. We arrived and were told that something was wrong with the bathroom and that they’d had to book us a room somewhere else. We’d chosen Longboat because of it’s centralised location to the shops and restaurants in Penzance. Unfortunately, they booked us in a b&b on the complete opposite end of town(right by Newlyn) in a very residential area. The woman at the bar gave us driving directions meant for locals(«You know the casino, yeah?») We had to walk almost a mile in unfamiliar territory to get to the nearest restaurant. Luckily, we loved the b&b anyway, it just turned out to be a much slower start to our Cornwall holiday than we’d intended. We later spent some time in the pub waiting for our train back to London. Very unmemorable.

The later the more drunk and indecently acting people around. Late at night drunk guests dominate the whole place. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy a good meal and some drinks in a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Solid, old fashioned boozer on the main street in Penzance. Wooden décor throughout. I like it and expect it in this kind of establishment. 5 ale pumps grace the baralthough not all of them were on shift during my visit. I had something old and peculiar from Theakstons(?). Tasted good. They serve food too. There was banter at the bar and sport on the TV. Neither diversion seemed to impose itself on the other which was good.
