On the whole this was a really enjoyable experience.
Everybody was very friendly and helpful, although at first I was surprised to have my eyes tested by a witch, complete with black pointed hat and red and black striped tights, who kept luminous spiders in her office (it was Halloween!). The process was smooth and I learned things about my eyes that I have never been told before despite having worn glasses since my teens. I was then given some good advice to help me choose new glasses.
This was a more personal process than the last time I visited another local optician. Although D&A is part of a huge chain, it does not feel like it is.
