Blue Seas Hotel

For our family holiday in Cornwall, we stayed at several different B&Bs, but the Blue Seas was BY FAR everyone’s favorite.
Fiona & Arnaud are the perfect hosts, and were a good source of information on things to do in the area. They went out of their way to have breakfast ready for us a little earlier one day as we had a flight that morning to the Isles of Scilly. Internet was a little spotty sometimes, but workable.
And the breakfast! You can have a traditional English fry-​up, but there are so many other options as well. We loved the pancakes with fresh fruit and the warm baguettes. It was a perfect fusion of English & continental cuisine.
I’d return to Penzance just to stay at the Blue Seas.

nicht wirklich ein hotel, aber ein B&B mit ca. 9 zimmern: ein netter empfang: eine kanne tee im vordergarten, in der abendsonne! Arnaud zeigt uns das haus und wir fühlen uns gleich wohl. sehr saubere, helle zimmer, die im oberen stockwerk mit ausblick auf das meer, alles nett in meeresblau und sandbeige gehalten und geschmackvoll eingerichtet.
üppiges frühstück (alle möglichen «cooked breakfasts» inclusive, aber auch croissants, obst und joghurt) im souterrain des hauses, aber trotzdem hell und freundlich.
die lage des hauses ist praktisch: man kann eigentlich alles zu fuss erreichen: stadtzentrum, pubs, restaurants, die promenade und das meerwasser-​schwimmbad aus den 30er jahren! das ist ein besonderes erlebnis… preis/​leistungsverhältnis ist OK. gratis parkplatz direkt vor dem haus.

This is an outstanding family run bed and breakfast hotel and represents great value in our opinion.
The first thing we noticed was how elegant the building was, with stylish interior decoration and high ceilings proving a lot of light in the rooms. It is located a stone’s throw away from the sea, which you can view from some bedrooms. We were offered rather nice coffee on our arrival along with freshly baked homemade scones, then relaxed in the front room where there was a computer if we needed (WiFi provided throughout the hotel).
The couple who run it were fantastic; very friendly and helpful with any queries, and there was a printed guide in our room complete with local restaurant menus in it (we’d recommend the Navy Inn). They also happen to produce AMAZING breakfasts. And a great choice of coffee. They are also a certified Green Business, and food and toiletries are sourced locally.
It made for a quality stay in the centre of Penzance; we’d recommend this hotel to anyone!
