I am currently lying in my pocket sprung bed, enjoying the biscuits and tea made available to me, and I have had a lovely bath in the corner of my massive room :-) Full of quirky and interesting niknaks, furniture and period fixtures, this a full on romantic bed and breakfast. Had I been in the company of a desireable man, I may have stayed for the whole weekend, but this is sadly a short stopover in a busy week. It is heaven though. My host is Judith who owns this Georgian pile, and who is exuberant, effervecent and passionate about the place. Breakfast is served in the basement kitchen and cooked on the Aga, the rooms are few but utterly individual, and in the summer the patio with a view would be a relaxing place of an evening. Not so inviting in December. Not expensive, great location and a fascinating home. I will be back if possible!
