I’ve been very impressed with the few times I’ve used this branch of Halfords. They’ve not just matched but bettered prices from other places I’ve gone and, in the case of tyres, have been able to source parts I needed that other garages said were impossible to obtain.
Staff seem very above board and honest, give good quotes which they stick to and won’t upsell a part. Instead, they’ll happily explain the difference between a premium label part and a budget equivalent and let you make the choice — often encouraging the saving of cash.
Had my car MOT’s recently. During a service elsewhere I was told my brakes might need looked at soon. Halfords passed them as being fine — when there was obviously the opportunity for an MOT failure and some profitable work.
In other words, they encourage repeat business. Happy to recommend them.
