As this is a take away i can’t really write the normal length of review that i generally do. I have to say though that this was an amazing peice of cod that I had from here. We had just arrived in Torquay to stay and it was late so we decided to have a quick drive around and see what was on offer. We happened upon this place as one of the first places we saw that was still open at that time(about 9pm on a Monday night) and both ordered cod and chips. Lovely, it makes you realise how the fish is fresher in Devon than it is in Birmingham cause we are no where near the sea at all. Really tastey and a good price, would definitely go here again.

A great chipper with a great range of food for everyone, it is also licenced so you can get a cold one with your meal. Great staff, freshly cooked food, it can get very busy but it is worth the wait.

Whilst you wouldn’t normally catch us in kiss-me-quick land there is something to be praised with this old fashioned chippy. We have never eaten in, but this is our favourite place to get fish and chips wrapped in paper to then take down on to Hollicombe beach in the early evening to then sit on the rocks and enjoy the sounds and smells of the bay — devoid of grockles! The fish is, invariably cooked to order, the portions are excellant to excessive — something of a southwestern trait, being a greasy spoon type of place it is not over priced but even being a bit off the beaten track it is always busy. something of a give away!
