This is an excellent restaurant that differs from your regular curry house due to the Nepali influence to the menu. Service is friendly and its a good environment for a special occasion. Prices are a little on the high side, and portions are a little small. But recommended

Amazing food, service & very clean with honest knowledgable waiting staff. Would I go again Yes please!!! Busy yet attentive & polite, Friday night booking was for 20.15, was seated straight away. When asking the waiter to recommend menu choices, whether we were ordering to much for portion size, without hesitation he said to much for our original order, great no pushy up selling! By the time 21.00 arrived the place was full! I think that speaks for itself Food was flavoursome & well presented. The chef well deserves his Michelin star! This place is a somewhat hidden gem!

The Sunday night buffet is amazing, I’m a veggie and rarely find buffets with much choice for me but it is brilliant every time and they usually cook me something extra (the pumpkin mash stuff is devine!) The staff are brilliant and absolutely lovely. I really enjoy going to the Gurkha.

A much better choice than the standard ‘Indian’ for a curry type outing. Food is good, service is efficient and friendly. On each of my three visits there has been a problem in preparing my bill correctly so worth checking. Not an ‘event’ venue but fine for a ‘lets eat out instead of cooking’ evening. Sunday buffet makes a nice change from the routine roast.

Excellent service and excellent menu — not your usual curry house with bog standard dishes to suit the drunken masses !
Despite original menu and ingredients feel that sometimes they could work on the flavour as have had some bland dishes and certainly not had anything with any heat… which from the description I was expecting.

What a restuarant, such a hidden gem for Oxted. Fantastic food, friendly and efficient staff. Everyone i take there loves it — one of my favourite restuarants.

A stunning little Nepalese jewel in the most unlikely of commuter towns, the Ghurka Kitchen is easily missed. Yet despite this it has manage to gain itself quite a reputation among those in the know, regularly mentioned in the same breath as the best known and loved curry houses in the country.
Unfathomably popular, it still always seems possible to get a table within 30 minutes of arriving unannounced. Once within the restrained but atmospheric décor, the menu is small but big on quality, offering regional specialities from the slowcook Nepalese cuisine it creates so beautifully.
A perfect little secret to take with you on a trip to Surrey.
