i’m not quite sure how i feel about The William Morris. it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. i had the banger’s and Mash and while it wasn’t bad, it was very bland. just banger’s, mash, and peas. now don’t get me wrong, its exactly what they advertised and exactly what i ordered so i cant fault it, and it tasted okay, but maybe some sauce or onions could’ve just made it a little better. the bar staff are nice and very polite, but they serve one person at a time and don’t look at you even just to say«ill be with you in a minute», something as small as that goes a long way when you are waiting a few minutes for a drink. the one thing that is amazing is the prices so i suppose i cant complain, i am getting what i paid for. i’m not sure if id go back though.

This is a Wetherspoons pub and suffers a little from having no separate identity of its own — the menu, décor, and bar scream ‘corporate’ and it doesn’t seem to have settled into a firm identity yet. It’s spacious but quite dark inside, despite the big windows, which doesn’t really sit well with the daytime clientele they are trying to attract. It is a reasonable place to go for a cheap lunch(particularly if having a pint with it fits into your routine), and it is child-friendly in the daytime at least. The service is occasionally very slow, and the lack of light is somewhat off-putting, but it is accessible, clean, and reasonably friendly, at least.
