Delicious look of every cocktail for really reasonable price which is unusual for such a high quality cocktail bar in this location with friendly bartenders and quite modern look

This is a nice cocktail bar. Wide range of cocktails and not too pricey! It is a standard location as we move our way into oxford!

Very hip cocktail bar. Atmosphere is very cozy and mellow.
Easy walk to this location from the city center.
I like it… but don’t love it. Going to visit again…

When Adam B. and I had to come up with a place for us to meet up with some friends, of course we decided on Raoul’s. Now, normally, I wouldn’t have updated based on this most recent experience. But, the bartenders were so nice last Friday night that I feel compelled to give mention to their congeniality when one in our party accidentally knocked over her entire drink. Adam and I immediately decided to put her new drink on our tab, but the bartenders ended up not charging for it at all. Of course, they ended up getting that extra drink back in tips, which makes me wonder if they planned that all along. Nonetheless, I love this place. Hearts all around!

The fries are delicious.

At this point I do not think there is anywhere better in Oxford to go for drinks.

Quite simply the best cocktail bar in Oxford and possibly one of my all time favourite drinking places.
You are certainly getting more than what you pay for (even though it is pricy for a drink). The bar staff really know what they are doing, they use quality alcohol and ingredients, and on top of their extensive cocktail list (it is literally a book!) they know many more.
As mentioned in another review the Red Barron is one of the best I have tried but personally I recommend asking for «The Last Word». It’s not on the list but I have yet to try a better cocktail!

Six quid for a delicious cocktail made right and with quality liquor? SOLD. I’ll have one of each please. I wish… But it’s probably better that I did not try. I stuck to two cocktails: the Red Baron and a gorgeous grapefruit one that I can’t remember the name of.
The Red Baron was like drinking a chocolate covered strawberry through a straw. Absolutely beautiful. But the grapefruit one was my favorite. I could have easily put a few away of those. My wallet thanked me that I didn’t. Maybe next time.

This place does cocktails pure and simple. Each cocktail is about £5 — £6 which is about right for the quality ingredients they use with good quality based foundation alcohol (rum, whisky, vodka etc)
They take good time preparing the drinks and the staff know what they are doing, I think they even run courses on making good cocktails here.
The menu must have in the region of 60 cocktail split into themed sections which sort of helps you choose, but if you just liked Rum cocktails then this menu would not help at all. It’s a small bar area and with each drink taking a few mins to prepare can make it feel very crowded as you step inside but there is plenty of leather sofas at the back. It had a dark and sultry feel so is not really the place to go and meet new people

Good for after dinner drinks if you have been eating locally

How has no one already reviewed Raoul’s? Raoul’s is something of an Oxford legend because of its seemingly neverending cocktail menu that’s filled with all sorts of yummy delights. It usually takes me a good 10 minutes to decide on what I want, but almost everything I’ve tried there has been noteworthy. Raoul’s menu even makes English boys — who usually claim to be beer-​only types — man up and order a girly looking cocktail. They’re just that good.
I still fantasize about the Red Baron (which is made of strawberries, cherry vodka, vanilla sugar, and Mozart chocolate liqueur). My friend swears by the Kolonial (which is sweet, sour, and coconutty, just the way she likes it). And I’m also a huge fan of the Pear and Port Collins, which is the first drink I ever tried there. The only thing that would make this place even better would be if they offered happy hour prices — their cocktails can be killer on a student budget!

I quite like this place. But i cant really afford to go that often, they are quite pricey.
It’s a fav with my friends after a meal out though.
I like the like the décor and the feel of the place,
Staff are always cheery and enthusiastic.

Who to go with: Friends, potential new partner, even a business date if you go at the right time.
When to go: Before a night out, or even before dinner — definitely not enough seats for later.
What to get: They do all the usual cocktails and lots of their own. The white chocolate martini one is my favourite, despite not normally liking martini. Their non-​alcoholic fruit cocktails are really good as well.

Raouls is utterly fantastic. No question.
Fabulous cocktails, about the same price you’d pay elsewhere in Oxford.
It is decked out retro style with browns and creams and interesting shapes.
Get there early because it is very popular and it would be a shame not to try out their range of seating — from bar stools to comfy sofa style seats.
There is definately A LOT to differentiate it from other cocktail bars — it’s size, lay out, huge cocktail menu, professional staff, music, atmosphere and fantastic original design.

Im going to throw a spanner in the works. people seem to love this place, so me and my two girlie pals went here for a nite out. It is a cocktail bar and the list IS quite extensive so thats good. However, on the two times ive been here (i got dragged there the 2^nd time) the atmosphere has lacked, the drinks were a little expensive for their quantity and the place is really claustrophobic. On the up side the service was okay.
A lot of my pals as i said, really like it here — so it may be that i just picked two of its worst nites. I went once at the weekend (when it was semi full) and once in the week when we were nearly the only people there.
The décor is nice and clean.

This place is really something special — I love it. This is definitely the best cocktail bar in Oxford (apparently, it has one sister Bar in New York!). Every one I’ve had as been spot on perfect — always rich and never watery, mixed by well trained staff and designed with care.
My favourites include the tall watermelon cocktail, really refreshing, the espresso martini and the white chocolate martini — so rich!
The service is excellent — very polite, really quick and they always appreciate your custom. Head over early on weekends, as it’ll get very busy! Recently refurbished, this is a great place to hang out and relax with some great drinks.
