#601 On our last bus trip back from London, we decided to have some fun and pick up some rum from the Co-op. I had never had any reason to drop by this store location before, but the bus stop was just two blocks away so we figured, why not. I was definitely surprised at how much larger the store was compared to the Co-op locations on Cherwell Drive and Old Marston Road. There are so many more options that can be found here and everything on your grocery list can definitely be tracked down. We caught them near closing time and they did their best to rush the stragglers. Regardless, we found what we wanted, grabbed some soda, paid, and walked out in no time. The staff was friendly and much more agreeable compared to the other Co-op locations, so it’s too bad it was so far away from our house. Otherwise, you would have found me here every other weekend.

Definitely my favourite Co-op in Oxford. While I lived in Headington I used to make regular trips here for top ups on food and other random items. For the most part the pricing is decent although often times a bit more expensive than Tescos, and the staff is generally helpful with my quires. There are very few general items I have failed to find here, they have all the general sections you could ask for as well as a decent ice cream and sweets selection(because I know that is probably the most relevant part of the store). I no longer often go to this Co-op as I am now closer to the Marston location but this one shall always remain my favourite of the 2.

Great local supermarket. Mediym aized, with lots of special offers, fresh bread, generally friendly and helpful staff. Good fair trade and organic ranges. And a lot cheaper than Waitrose

General gist: Supermarket with all the basics and some nice extras(check out the cakes and the cheap smoothies). The good: Lots of special offers on bulk buys and some things are cheap. The bad: The prices seem to change quite often and it’s still more expensive than Tesco. It’s not as upmarket as Sainsbury’s but is often more expensive. The staff vary in friendliness.
