Ottery st Mary, well known for the tar barrel rolling locally night in November. I do not visit any other time except today for a delivery early and I wanted a cheap breakfast!!! I found myself going into the bay tree café as it is open from 8am. Typical local café. 6 tables which seat 4 people. I would say it is a very well used café by the locals due to it’s cheap and cheerful menu and friendly staff. Clean and very accommodating. Menu ranges from full English breakfast to crusty bread sandwiches and main meals like cottage pie and ham egg and chips!!! Nothing fancy but just good old fashioned café food. Very well priced.

Cheap, very good food. Lorna’s very friendly, they even have a child seat to put on the chair. Lovely tea. No parking as in central Ottery
