Yeoman Harvester

Food was quite nice with a varied menu and something for everybody. Would have given 3 stars bur the extra star is for the salad bar which is always a highlight of a visit here

I went to the The Yeoman Harvester on St Nicholas Park Drive last week and was amazed. Its a lovely friendly restaurant, spotless clean, and the food was sooooooooooo good. You can help yourself to as much salad, rolls, butter as you want. We ordered chicken and ribs and was tasty. For Dessert we ordered an ice cream sundae and to our amazement have never seen such a big ice cream sundae. If you have a cold drink, i.e. coke, lemonade you pay for the first one then you can have as many free refills as you like. Great value for money. The restaurant has a private car park with plenty of spaces. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

I’ve had many a meal here in the past which have all been quite nice — especially the salad cart and pudding.
The last time we went, I ordered the rack of ribs which came to me black (not chargrilled but cremated) I tried eating some but could only taste bitterness as it was so burnt. I spoke to the waiter who took it back to the chef. Upon his return I was informed that what I was served was normal, I explained that I’d eaten this meal previously and it wasn’t burnt — it was in fact very nice but he continued to say that even if they replaced it for me it would come out the same. His attitude was not pleasant he basically wanted me to like it or lump it.
We will never return. Customer service was abysmal.
Shame really.

Harvester Pub and Grill on St Nicolas Park Drive in Nuneaton is a great restaurant if you are looking for great value for money, efficient and consistent service and a tasty filling menu choice. Its very family friendly and a perfect place to go if you really hungry because of the salad cart! Basically as soon as you have placed your order you can go up to the salad cart which is well stocked with all kinds of salad stuff, including potato and pasta salad, bread rolls and all kinds of sauces, and get something to eat straight away without having to wait for starters to come! The early bird menu also means that before 6:30pm all meals have a third of the price off, a bargain!
